What do i receive?

A membership in Akavia brings many benefits and provides you with worklife security and opportunities for professional development.

Insure your income

INCOME INSURANCE AND UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE (A-KASSA)

Membership of Akavia includes income insurance offering security when you are between jobs. If you become involuntarily unemployed the insurance provides up to 80 percent of your current salary up to a gross monthly salary of SEK 80,000 and for a maximum of 120 days. It is a complement to the benefits of the Akademikernas a-kassa unemployment insurance. In order to be eligible for the income insurance, you must also be a member of Akademikernas A-kassa.

When you join Akavia, the income insurance is included in your membership. However, you also must apply to join Akademikernas a-kassa, as membership there is a prerequisite to be covered by the income insurance. Please note that you must have been a member of both Akavia and Akademikernas a-kassa for at least 12 months to be able to apply for payments from the income insurance.

You can apply for membership of Akademikernas a-kassa when you fill in your application to join Akavia. Join Akavia here.
